Derama is the school-age lead at Warren Elementary School and an ECE II. She is passionate about continuing her professional growth and plans to pursue her ECE III certification in the near future. Outside of work, Derama enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.

Dianne works in the preschool room at Woodlands Childcare as a childcare assistant and has been a valued member of the team for many years. She grew up in Warren, Manitoba, where she still resides, alongside her family.

Dianne enjoys gardening, spending time with her loved ones, and visiting her cabin during both the summer and winter months. She loves fishing and relaxing in her free time.

Her future goals include going back to school to obtain her ECE II certification.

Elise is a CCA who works primarily one-on-one with a child in the preschool room at Woodlands Childcare. She is dedicated to providing personalized care and support to help children thrive. Elise lives in the Interlake and enjoys contributing to the nurturing environment at the center.

Jordan is the infant lead at Woodlands Childcare, where she fosters a nurturing and engaging environment for the youngest learners. Born and raised in Woodlands, Manitoba, Jordan cherishes the close-knit community she calls home.

She began working at Woodlands Childcare part-time during high school and quickly discovered her passion for early childhood education. After gaining experience, Jordan pursued her ECE II certification and now brings her expertise to the infant program.

In her role, Jordan is often found on the floor with the infants, encouraging risky play, exploring sensory activities, singing songs, or discovering the outdoors. When not at work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and pursuing a variety of hobbies.

Kalie is a CCA in the preschool program with extensive experience in the childcare field. She is passionate about fostering learning and development through play. Some of her favorite activities with the children include sensory play and art. Kalie loves seeing the children’s imagination come alive—after all, who doesn’t enjoy getting a little messy?

Kalie aspires to further her career by working toward becoming an ECE II. She lives in Woodlands with her husband, their two children, and their golden retriever. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, fishing, and playing card and board games. One of her favorite hobbies is traditional Métis beading, which helps her feel connected to her culture.

Kristin has been a CCA at Woodlands Childcare since the summer of 2022. She works in the preschool program and Woodlands School Age Program. She is married and has a small zoo with three dogs and five cats. Kristin moved to Southern Ontario on her own in 2015 and returned to Manitoba at the end of 2020 to enjoy a quieter life in the country. She enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, baking, caring for houseplants, collecting crystals, and dreams of having a small hobby farm one day.

As someone who values continued learning, Kristin has taken a workshop on supporting risky play and is completing the Circle of Security program. Her current professional goal is to become an ECE II. In the future, she hopes to further her education and eventually educate other child care providers.
